The Kansas Association of Retired School
Personnel (KARSP) supports the Kansas Coalition of
Public Retirees, coalitions with other professional
organizations, and educational agencies which are
working to improve public education and public
employee retirement benefits.
KARSP supports the following legislation:
Support the preservation and improvement of the
KPERS defined benefit plan.
Advocate for annual cost of living adjustments.
Increase KPERS retiree death benefit to $5,000.
Support the elimination of any penalty for working
after retirement.
Support adequate state funding for public education
pre-kindergarten through the university level.
