Day of
Service SW Style
 If
you are looking for something to do this year for
Day of Service you might consider what the Southwest
Area Retired School Personnel unit does. For the
past few years a group of energetic members have
gone to a local care home to socialize, share
refreshments, and teach a class of residents Line
Dancing.
 The unit members give AARP Day of Service
t-shirts and ball caps to the home residents. A
good time is always had by all. Also, several
people from this unit, along with various family
members, took a team to Greensberg, Kansas, to
volunteer their time and muscle to the people there
as they try to rebuild. Good work Southwest Area KARSPians! You are what volunteerism is all about.
